APPLY FOR A GRANT

ELIGIBILITY

The Fund respects individual and cultural differences and its approval process is therefore committed to be free from any such discrimination. The Fund is also committed to funding grants to organizations which are free from discrimination. Organizations are not eligible for a grant if they have a policy or mission of discrimination based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age or disability. The only exception to this process is for religious organizations that are exempt from laws that prohibit such discrimination. Fund support is limited to Dearborn-based non-profit organizations with 501 (c)(3) status. The following entities may be eligible for grants:
• Public educational institutions
• Private, non-profit educational institutions
• State registered non-profit associations

SUBMISSION PROCESS

All submissions will be directed to the DCCF Grant Coordinator. They can also address questions regarding the grant program, the process or the application. The Grant Coordinator will confirm eligibility and review applications for completeness. Incomplete applications or those deemed by the Grant Coordinator to be lacking the necessary level of detail will not be reviewed by the board.

PROJECT EVALUATION

The DCCF requires applicants to provide a description of how they (the applicant) defines success for the project or the intended outcomes they hope to achieve as a result of receiving the grant. The Grant Coordinator will work with applicants to establish the method and cadence by which project updates, results, and/or reference materials for completed projects will be provided. Failure to meet the goals or provide the agreed upon project updates/deliverables may impact approval of subsequent grant applications.

AWARDS

The Fund has a goal to review grant applications within six weeks of submission. The Fund will make the final decisions regarding grant approval. When award decisions are made, applicants will be notified of whether the grant was awarded or denied, and any stipulations.

RESTRICTIONS
